I am an advanced somatic practitioner with in-depth training in the prenatal and perinatal field. I started studying prenatal and perinatal work as a maternal and child health specialist in the 1990's. I became a bodyworker in 1995 with the intention of working with the maternity field, and have specialized in prenatal and perinatal therapy over three decades of training and practice, including working with pregnant people, babies, and prevention and treatment of birth trauma. 

In 1999, a client remembered her birth on my bodywork table. She explained to me that she felt her earliest trauma was the reason for her lifelong depression and she wanted to heal it. That experience took hold of me with such passion that I am now filling in the gap between our ancestral past and our present lives with recognition of our earliest life experiences starting preconception. ​It involves appreciating how we have adapted to our difficulties and integrating these early overwhelming experiences into our current lives.
